So! Spooky vs. the Worm From Hell! And it’s… no contest! Woot! Spooky just chopped that Worm right in half, and now it looks like he’s ready for more. A lot more.

But is that the worst that Hell is going to throw at him? Is that the worst that Anaado is going to throw at him?

Yaaas! This isn’t frightened, 14-year old Spooky here! Although I have a feeling that worm is not done with him yet–worms can keep moving sometimes after you cut them! Think about that salt spell, Spooks, just in case!

Really fantastic artwork here; I could definitely see this becoming a poster that I would buy. Can this happen maybe?

Terran worms are hermaphroditic and sort of lay eggs… I wonder if Hell’s worms behave the same way because this one might have a “mate” that objects to split personalities like that…

Although worms are hermaphroditic, they cannot self-germinate. It still requires two worms to reproduce.
Hint: {Isn’t that thrilling! I gave in to my inner nerd this morning. However, I beat my inner nerd into NOT relating details of worm mating beyond what I just said. Sometimes, less is more.}

Terran earthworms will also regenerate when cut. If both pieces are big enough, you will end up with two worms.

Nope, I was wrong. It didn’t need more than a blast, it just had to be an upgraded super-blast 😀

Anaado may have gotten an instant demon-prince power upgrade, but Spooky clearly grew into being much stronger, and … yeah, certainly no need to hold back here.

We saw Spooky go all in, in another way, when he absorbed all the dying souls from Platinum Priestess’ magic glass box, but I think Spooky may just give us a couple of small surprises yet, about the full extent of his powers.
Even when we have gotten hints/a show during their fight against Laampros. Catching demon pets ain’t easy after all, not to mention demon hunting as a profession.

Spooky is not a 13 year old boy anymore. Heck, based on what Anaado will call him, other than his Beloved Star, his name won’t be Spooky much longer.

We’ve only begun to scratch the surface in showing what our Spooky can do.

Spooky has Carpentry skills. We know that because he’s only just begun

Remember the last book? He overloaded on souls! No limits I think. Or at least, not many. He did learn a lot in hell? Or was Spook’s educated elsewhere in the tricks of the “alterverse”?

The worm is one big gullet. No internal organs. A truely heartless creature.

Could be. But I get the impression that Spooky has experience with this kind of creature.

Indeed he has. Many times.

I’ve been distracted for a while by a bathroom renovation that blew out from 2 to 3 weeks (stress!), but which now seems to be finalised except for a second coat of paint. Which is lucky, because Dad has to go home tomorrow since he’s run out of his medications.
So anyway, belated birthday gleepings to Adam DeKraker and Dokidokibaka.

I’m just hoping it’s not like earthworms that are still alive when you cut them up like that.

The “head” of an earthworm is the end nearest a bulge (called the clitellum) and if the earthworm is cut behind the bulge, then the Head portion can grow a new tail, however the original tail section dies. IF you cut a worm through the clitellum or closer to the head, then the entire earthworm dies.

I wonder what Anaado is doing. Sitting down, eating popcorn, watching? I’m glad Spooky can take care of himself.

Anaado is probably throwing a fit over off panel. He seems more emotional than logical in situations. I don’t really see his endgame in all of this.

I think right now he feels split between smugly watching Spooky getting some dose of what he himself had to endure and admiring how Spooky is handling the challenge…!

So he’s 50/50 on wanting Spooky to be eaten by a sand-worm from Dune and being a magical badass? Cool!

Of all the things I could, and should, focus on, my brain goes to: Man, it really must suck for Spooky to be barefoot right now.

Yay! Made it to a camp, as much as I can only be here sporadic. Got to take a shower and make my lunch box. Leaving in 40mins.

I’m so tired! For the first time in ages, I have slept like a rock… for the 4½ hours I have slept. Hated my alarmclock this morning. It actually rained last night, and for more than 5mins and/or 1mm of rain, so the night temps have been *so* pleasent. I may actually get to see a (temporary?) green/slightly green lawn again 😉
Love it. Wish I could have slept hours longer before going out in the heat once more. Though it’s degrees lower than yesterday. I will never again complain that we don’t get real summers here lately. This summer is insane.

A friend came to visit today and there’s a small bridge about 2 1/2 miles from my house that washed out. I had to talk them through the detour by cellphone. It’s been hot and wet and more wet here.

Hot, dry and more dry here. Longest period of drought, hottest weather, and sunniest weather/month in 140+ year… for both May, June and July. This month set a new sun-hours record already before end of month.

By Danish temperature measures, we have had around 60 summer days this year so far, all since early-mid May. 7-8 of the last 14 days have even been tropical summer days (+some tropical nights). Average is 15-20 summer-temeprature days for a whole year. With the currrent heat, we will easily make 70-80 days of that.. maybe more if this continues.
It’s crazy and extreme.

The Eastern USA (Both north and south) are getting wetter. The western USA is getting dryer and hotter. Europe is one of the hot areas and not the wet areas.

Yes, Australia has had a very dry July too. The fact that we’re in the last month of winter and that the sunny dry weather is very pleasant now makes me worry about what summer will be like.
