So! Spooky has impressed his old friend! But not enough to get a ticket back home, it seems. Sounds like more worms are on the way. If they aren’t going to run, and they aren’t going to go back to Earth, what will they do? And, more importantly, what will Spooky do?

Spooky has started to move from sad and shocked to being pissed off. Nothing like nearly dying uneccesary to make you angry.

Also, once again, kudos to Adam and Vero. The detail and coloring on these pages are truly impressive.

So Anaado is doubly ugly.

How ya figure? Cuz he’s given the big spook a taste of what he’s endured? This make Anaado angry. Not ugly. Angry peeps do terrible things.

As far as we know that’s not what Spooky had done. He had tried to get Anaado free, too, but only now has found a way to maybe actually do it.

I wonder if he meant Spooky ditching Anaado there, I rather read it that Anaado now ditched Spooky in hell (due to his jealousy)… though both are possible reads indeed ^^’

Anaado, do you really want to risk it?

I think he does, up until he realizes just what a bad idea it is.

He isn’t risking anything, he can only gain. From his point of view he has already lost Spooky, so his situation can either improve or stay the same.

Is it just me or does Spooky look, in panel four especially, much more mature when he’s saying “you need to bring us back”? He’s not the kid Anaando remembers from before. I wonder if that is going to play a part in the resolution.

He’s definitely not that kid with no memories anymore. And I wonder too… 🙂

Hopefully something will trigger Kyle’s return before other hellish critters make their appearance!

Maybe that is what will trigger him!

Well conceivably he could do that now. The power to move between the dimensions is Kyle’s after all. Admittedly it would take longer since Kyle doesn’t know how to work it.

Spooky definitely is NOT playing anymore.

Spooky does not look like he could handle dozens of these things. He is winded after just one.

The first one he was still winded and in shock from falling to hell and screaming on the way down?

I’m curious to see how this will go now that Spooky seems to finally be overcoming his shock. How much is Spooky willing to put up with? Can he break the spell at anytime?

Hard to blame Anaado, for him it is all or nothing.
Also, if Spooky breaks the spell now, Kyle will be shocked, confused, nauseatic probably and utterly clueless. Unsafe.

we don’t even know if maybe his own appearance will stay the same. In the recent fight he did change drastically, who knows what will happen IN hell now… he might look closer to Anaado than we’d like

Hmmmm……Travel in packs do they? Doesn’t sound good at all…….Maybe some sort of “protection spell” to guard against the worms getting to them……until Spooky can figure a way out of this? Wait and see.

Something deeply icky sounding about “a pack of worms” – yeccch!

I don’t see any possible way that Kyle and Anaado can share one body. It’s not just the physical looks, it’s the mentality of both that seems to make it impossible for a cooperative effort.

Kyle is boyish isn’t he?

Think of the internal dialog — “Is it my day out or is it your day out?”

It sure gives no meaning to “internal dialog”.

Anaado and Kyle cannot remain together trying to share one body because in such a solution lies either a) madness or b) chaos.

On the one hand it could lead to madnes or chaos. On the other, it could go wrong.

I much prefer sanity and order.

I had thought that in the “Marvelverse” that there was no real choice between Banner/Hulk. Rage being the key as was explained in one of the movies. “I am always angry”. Then Hulk was shown with a sense oh humor slamming Loki around, “puny god”. Then later randomly slugging Thor with his left fist, just “because”. I am not sure I like this turn of events. Hulk is NOT supposed to be a separate being, but an alternate Banner. This is a bit odd for my tastes.

There’s a question in psychology about which personality in a schizophrenic is dominant and which is submissive. It’s hard to believe that either Anaado or Kyle would be submissive.
In the most famous cases of schizophrenia, the multiple personalities defend the other personalities and sometimes erupt when required to defend the body.

“I am schizophrenic and so am I”? I had thought multiple personality disorder had been disproved? That it was basically different aspects of personality? At the moment, I am not going to dive into my navel, I must do a bit of running. Wow, psych 101 in fantasy land with Demons, magic and “spooks”! Love it!

Schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder are two entirely seperate conditions..

Yeah, it is a lot of schlocky movie and Sci-Fi psychology.

Plus neither wants to share.

It’s obvious Anaado doesn’t want to share anything. He wants out of the hell dimension.

And that’s why it would lead to the other two. Body sharing could be done in a peaceful and orderly fashion but only if they’re willing to both share.

I think in this case it would be a tad bit more violent. “let me the hell out you demon beast”. Perhaps with more colorful language?

Kyle, nap time is over. I’m sure you’re stronger than Anaado. You’re supposed to be the worlds greatest superhero. You helped rid the world of Laampy. Surely this little jealous and foolish demon is nothing compared to dear old dad. *waves protest sign in distress*

Yeah. This place definitely looks more ‘organically icky’ than any of the hellscapes that Hieronymus Bosch came up with. Perhaps more like a Ditko-verse.

Well, Anaado – we can see that the years haven’t ‘matured’ you at all! So petulant! 🙂

I’m not sure what Spooky’s options are since, y’know, magic, but if he’s got any sort of sanctuary spell to enclose himself and Anaado with, then maybe that’s the way to go. Once inside whatever bubble of protection he can whip up, Spooky and Anaado can talk this out some more without worrying about satisfying the nutritional requirements of monsters who should really be eating local produce instead. Support your local farmers!

If he is, then that might be his ticket out of this situation. It is his body and strength after all, he might be able to force the switch back

Alex confirmed on an earlier page that Kyle is in the body, but not conscious and aware of anything. So his mind is dormant.

Although now that they’re in hell I wouldn’t bet on that any more!

Interesting. I would like that scenario better. And Alex is tricky, so it just might b true.

So I was just thinking that after this Kyle is going to become a celibate monk since everyone of his sexual encounters winds up going to hell literally. This must be the dangers of homosexual sex the fundies on my politics board keep warning me about.

These issues matter very much to me too, Kit, and inform my writing choices. It’s certainly understandable why you and @onyxlight:disqus might feel like that would be Kyle’s response. I’d probably feel the same way at this point in the story too.

But the whole reason I am creating these comics is because I believe that story-telling has a powerful effect on how people see themselves and how we see each other. Just know that the concerns you have are ones I also share, and they’ve informed my choices in this story arc as well.

Kyle, like a lot of us, had a rough start when it came to sex and love. But I would have no interest in telling stories where a good person (especially a good gay person) winds up as a “celibate monk” due to trauma. There’s still lots more to this arc. Don’t count Kyle out yet. 🙂

Oh I figured it would work out in the end, which is why I threw the light hearted joke on the end. hehe.

I think you are not alone in adding “thought” to comics. Long ago DC did a bit on homosexual life. One shot with supe’s. Sadly I don’t remember the issue but it was basically a be what you are book. The folks here put a lot of life into this tale of yours Alex. Wow, I feel like a mudbrain by comparison. I like the tale (comic fan) but the thought the other fans put into it like Dave, wow. I need to hit reset and find a brain. Bi the way. I still have no idea what I am and consider myself to be a resident minister on gaysiteunited.com. Life has given me a lot of time (2008) to think on my lifestyle choices. Not sure “straight” is the answer. Didn’t end well ya’ know? My version of going to hell like Kyle. I empathize with the character!

Spooky will prevent this from happening, maybe he will use the Oglaf solution ( Enchant kyles ejaculate, so can Amanda can locate Kyle via cum sprite. )

Poor Kyle is never going to want to have sex again. Everytime he does his world gets flipped on its end and 2 out of 3 times he’s tried to get his groove on reality as a whole was torn asunder… poor little guy. *hugs him*

It looks like Spooky is going to have to force Anaado to exit Kyle’s body. I hope he has enough power and skill to do it. But first things first. Spooky and Anaado must get to safety. I’m hoping to see Kyle again soon. Please Alex?!

Doki made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob with Hawaiian Rolls for dinner.

We have 1/2 meatloaf left. Brother eats a lot.

I think I need to get a recipe to actually use. The only definite thing is 2 eggs. The others are 2.5ish lbs ground beef, onion(s), green pepper(s), salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs. So I don’t really have a consistent one.

Sounds delicious to me. I haven’t made it in a long time. Haven’t eaten it in a long time too.

Well, they have all been edible so I don’t think measuring matters too much… maybe… but I always feel like I am leaving something out…

*shrugs* Meatloaf isn’t really my thing. I make it mostly because I am told to make it when my grandmother has a craving. I eat it, but then I also douse it in BBQ sauce.

You could make a small amount. Make it in a loaf pan. Put half of the cooked loaf in the freezer and save the other half for a meal or two. We cook ours in a cast-iron skillet and it is very heavy.

a little bridge a few miles from my house got closed because Mingo Creek did some bad things to it. It will be fixed well before the September Covered Bridge Festival.

Hmmm. A closed bridge. People r gonna have to detour for a while. Hope its only closed for a short length of time.

i had to talk a friend through the detour on a cellphone. Thankfully the driver of the car was more savvy than my friend who is a little directionless even with a compass.

Watching SG1. Just finished the episode “Pretense”. Anaado-Kyle is Klorel-Skaara, Valliok is another Goa’uld. Spooky would be… a combination of Jack, Daniel, and the Nox?

*Yawns* Made it to a camp, wohoo.

And I am enjoying this cool and windy morning. We’re having a dip in temperatures this weekend, down to 22-27°C (70-80F), before the heatwave returns horribly for some days. I have slept SO well the last couple of nights. You know a summer has been extreme when normal summer temperatures can feel almost a bit chilly, especially if it’s a windy day.

I don’t know what unexpected effects exorcising a demon from possession of a half-human “demon prince”s body on the demon’s home plane of existence would be.

I wouldn’t want to know.

I would want to be in an entirely different part of the multiverse where the entire affair is merely a comic book plot.
