A direct question. 🙂

For my U.S. readers, you obviously know we have midterm elections coming up in early November. Maybe you also know that while the Presidential election gets all the attention, who controls Congress (i.e. the folks who actually make the laws and approve Supreme Court Justices) is often determined in the mid-terms. But what you probably don’t know is that the majority of young people, women, and people of color don’t come out to vote in mid-term elections. Who does tend to vote in the midterms? White, wealthy people over the age of 50.

Obviously, the U.S. is more polarized than ever. I know that I have readers here that span the entire political spectrum. And I have zero interest in debating whose “team” is better. But I believe we all can agree that a democracy works best when all voices are heard from. And you can’t vote unless you are registered. So, as I’ve done in the past, I’ve added a widget to the right from Rock The Vote that will allow you to register to vote in your home state in less than two minutes without even leaving the site. (If for some reason that’s not working, you can also click here.)

When I’ve done this before, over a hundred of you registered to vote. So, if you haven’t registered before, now’s the time — it’s easy and fast. Since so few people vote in the mid-terms, your vote has a much greater impact. It will make a difference. And it’s more important than ever before. Don’t wait. Please register now. And then tell your friends to register too.

In other news, for those of you who use Comixology, they let me know that The Young Protectors: Volume One has been included in Comixology’s “Indie Super-Hero Sale” that runs until Monday, October 1st. Looks like they are offering a 33% discount, which is pretty darn good. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet (or want to give Comixology a try), you can grab a copy of The Young Protectors: Volume One here.

So! Spooky has flat out called Anaado a liar. I’m loving all the speculation y’all have been coming up with in the comments and it seems some of you think Spooky should have played his cards closer to his vest. But we all know that’s not really the Spooky way, is it? 🙂 Spooky wants answers, and he wants them now. Will Anaado give those up? And if not, what will his response be?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀
