No more lies!

So! Some of you in the comments were wondering if Spooky might hold his tongue and try to trick Anaado with some cunning plan, since our hero is currently stuck with the body of a kid and Anaado stole his magical power. Others were afraid he’d attempt a “crazy-brave, fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants confrontation” instead.

Was there really ever any doubt? It’s Anaado’s move—how do you think this “full demon” is going to respond?

Looks as though someone is afraid of being burned in a three way script — to quote an ancient phrase. 😉 (Hooray for Gordon Lightfoot!)

That, or he’s still in a hell (ahem!) of a panic about unleashing a demon prince, regardless what Spooky is telling him!

Either way – it’s now high time to fess up at last!

I think Spooky knows more about demons than Anaado thinks he does…

I’m more and more convinced that someone else, other than Anaado, is the one who wants to take a hitchhike in Spooky’s body – along with ALL the awesome powers he has. This is not Anaado’s masterplan.
Question is just *how* much he is or isn’t involved in this.

The weird thing is that a while ago I had a YP dream one night. I can’t remember all of it, but something about this scene, and my dream, makes me feel like Platinum Priestess definitely has a role in this too. I’m just not sure that that feeling isn’t triggered from my dream.

Whenever you least expect The Platinum Priestess, expect The Platinum Priestess.

Is he going to start crying next page? We’ve done joy, we’ve done anger, we’ve done deception, seems the only twist left.

Though if we go the anger and violence route I suspect Spooky might be more formidable than he might seem at the moment.

Anaado stop lying challenge.

There is a typo in the fourth panel… Spooky says, “That doesn’t any make sense,” instead of, “that doesn’t make any sense,” or, “that doesn’t even make sense.”

Spooky is much too incensed to worry about propper grammar.

And the incense in hell smells BAD.

I read that in the correct way and didn’t notice the typo! LMAO! I am blind!

You see what you expect to see. Alex no doubt proofread this several times, and yet it slipped past. That happens to me often enough.

This error was in the script. I must have proofread this page 100 times. It’s good to have the extra eyes here. 🙂

Though reading others’ comments (after a while, I was just too busy) now, I agree that the possibility of “Anaado” actually being someone else is quite likely!! I didn’t even think of that yet… thanks everyone!

My theory: Anaado isn’t nearly as powerful as he claims and he’s been using Kyle’s strength to generate illusions. It would explain why Anaado keeps doing things that Spooky doesn’t think should be possible. Page 18, 1st panel Spooky seems shocked that Anaado was able to bring them to hell. (So far, trips between hell have required birthday-boosted magic or big fancy rituals.) Page 28, bottom of the big panel Spooky claims his de-aging shouldn’t be possible.

I think Anaado doesn’t have the strength to possess Kyle forever, so he’s creating a false scenario where Spooky will give over his body voluntarily.

Getting down may be a lot easier than getting up. Maybe Duncan needed Kyle only for the return ticket.

Duncan also did it without Kyle’s knowledge or consent. That would complicate matters.

A lot has changed for superheroes and comics over the last few decades. Its no longer as simple as putting on a costume and fighting some villain robbing a bank. If you don’t have any type of amateur detective and sleuthing skills, then you are pretty much screwed. I was starting to get really worried for Spooky as he has been falling for all of Anaados deceptions. Thank goodness he has finally cut through the lies. I know love can make you blind but come on….. 🙂 🙂 🙂

If there is anyone who could blind Spooky, it would be Anaado.

Knowledge is power, especially in Hell.

I want Spooky to go all “Stephen King’s The Lawnmower Man” on his ass. “What are you hiding?”

And yes, even though it is a rip-off of the title of a Stephen King story, I like the movie.

My next big weekend excitement is the Pittsburgh Symphony concert. Manfred Honeck will conduct a repeat of the 1944 concert conducted by Leonard Bernstein with the Pittsburgh orchestra where Bernstein world premiered his Symphony #1 “Jeremiah” and then conducted Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.”
This is the centennial year of Bernstein’s birth.

Random bizarre thought: One of the several ideas about what *might* be going on with Anaado is that he’s being coerced by someone else to lure Spooky into a trap.
I have no idea, and can’t make a reasonable prediction about what’s going on. But let’s take this idea and run with it.

On this page Spooky points out the problems with Anaado’ story, which Anaado put in deliberately as a hint that something was wrong, and now Anaado is thinking: “FINALLY he notices the contradictions! Oh crap, this is all my fault. If I hadn’t bounced in and acted so happy to see him he would have figured things out sooner. I keep forgetting how easily distracted humans are by their hormones.”

Interesting speculation, Saxon. 🙂

When my brain and my body are both tired……this is what happens……..grocery shopping this morning and lawn mowing this afternoon……have just a few more passes to get the lawn done……then the trimming……and hopefully done for the year!

I’m cursed. Every time I look at the lawn and call the landscaper, it rains.

We just got rain over the last few days. Lots and lots of lovely rain, both over the Sydney area and the inland. Of course, they’ll need followup to properly deal with the drought.
But there’s always a downside. The rain brought out the snails, so I used the break in the weather to put out snail pellets on the gardens this morning.

You can have some of our rain.

This will be plenty……the mowing will be done …..and one last time I won’t have to water….

Calling for frost here tonight……then maybe a week or two of decent weather ……as always followed by a blizzard

It’s predicted to be 85°F Monday and Tuesday.

Sounds good but I think Nebraska is done with that kind of weather……to top this mess off I had to run down to the local auto parts store and pick up a spark plug for my mower today……not as expensive as trying for days to start the beast with no positive result!

I own a collection of “Dave Memorial Weed Trimmers” that are gas powered. at least one was used without oil, another two burnt out their spark plugs… I don’t even think about buying them anymore. They are worse than cellphones and toilets… I’m cursed, I say, cursed!

Well gee…..how many cell phones di you try to flush?

It’s the ring – – I unzip and the phone rings. Or my hands are soapy in hot water and the phone rings.

Gotcha! same problem here only it’s the land line that rings …..answering a nature call is just asking for trouble! Or while I’m in the shower…..happens EVERY time!

Monday and Tuesday here it’s rain both days in the upper 40’s.

I dislike cold.
