So! Spooky is putting the pieces together, while Anaado is over the moon with joy, literally sweeping our magic-using hero off his feet. Seems like the Spookster’s demonic ex is back on Earth and looking to stay. Has Spooky, in fact, saved Anaado? And if so, what will that mean for Kyle?

How can Spooky tell Anaado that he wants Kyle back without making Anaado feel unwanted?

Kyle isn’t a monster…

Even when he is in demon form and totally ticked off at his Father and the Annihilator…..he isn’t a monster.

As seen from below (from Anaado’s foot demon point of view!) Kyle is one of those hated elitist 0.0001%ers who were torturing him…!

I can see that……every body hates the “boy” who would be King……except that his Daddy is immortal!

All the more to hate him for it!

What if Spooky puts that happy little demon, Anaado, in Annihilator Duncan’s new teenage body?

Could he do that?

maybe, possibly, in the quantum realm everything is probability

Would Dunkid’s non-demonic body be able to contain Anaado? We know Kyle’s bloodline gives him demonic attributes, so holding Anaado’s form is possible. But what a cute result if it worked!

That’s an interesting complication. I don’t know.

Anaado used Kyle’s demon prince power to shapechange. Presumably he could not do that in Duncan’s body. (Though the source of Duncan’s powers is unknown).

Spooky just needs a transporter spell that can “un-merge” Kyle and Anaado as they have done with any number of Star Trek characters who were merged inadvertently. Kyle’s probably just stuck in the buffer for the time being waiting to be downloaded. Surely there’s a spell for that!

Interesting theory……a bit wonkey……but it does sound…..logical……I call…..not my fault! It was Anaado’s pointed ears!

The pointed ears do give him a certain panache. 😉

Make him look like an elf that was left in the oven too long.

As far as we know…..Anaado……how should I put this……might not be “that big” in certain areas…..therefore a “small” demon!

The more I re read this…..the more I theorize about what would happen if Kyle were to get “upset” enough about what Anaado has done to forcibly take his body back!

Indeed; He might be able to destroy Anaado outright if he really tried, but he might choose not to.

Just, how to resolve this for the both of them…?

Kyle did “burn” someone who was supposed to be fire proof.

Poor Kyle is going to have a complex about magic. He’s going to have a no-magic-ever zone.

“Yea, well, remember that ONE time Spooky used magic and his demon friend possessed me? Or that other time Duncan summoned Laampros?”

[In other news, sorry I’ve been away. My puppy went to the ER today and it’s generally been hectic here. I’ve had zero time to breathe much less check ANYTHING. I’m so behind.]

Give Kyle back right this instance. And uh Spooky, you need to speak up and stop letting him call Kyle a monster and all of that.

But please, do it in such a way that you do not burst Anaado’s bubble.

I’m a little less sympathetic since he just took over Kyle and keeps calling him a monster and a creature and a thing. And making assumptions. So, uh, not cool Anaado. Seriously Spooky, shock time is over. And Anaado, Spooky was 13/14. You can’t hold someone that age accountable.

But I guess Spooky has a type?

Hmm. Can’t fault Anaado for being this giddy happy, and dancing around in joy. He’s just been released from a prison cell and 6-7 years of torture, for helping Spooky escapeescape, only to be reunited with his love.
He deserves to be happy and joyful.

It’s just the timing and way it happened, taking over the ‘monster’ of a Demon Prince. In other words:
WE WANT KYLE BACK!

Kyle is never going to trust anyone ever again…. or open himself up to pleasure again. I mean seriously, poor boy is going to have a complex!!

Well, that’ll depend on if he’s even aware of what’s going on.

Uh oh. Someone doesn’t quite understand what is going on.

Someone is missing several points

I’m surprised Spooky seems so unconcerned with what’s happened to Kyle’s consciousness now Anaado’s taken control of the body… Poor Kyle, he really goes through it.

I’d guess that Spooky tries to work out what the situation really is, and that he wouldn’t want to hurt either Kyle nor Anaado!

I can understand that, but I would imagine that, seeing as Kyle is someone that Spooky has made clear he wants to be “more than friends” with and that Kyle feels the same way, that he would need to know where Kyle’s consciousness is now Anaado controls the body, and assurance that while Anaado is in control that it doesn’t affect Kyle negatively. Once he knows where his prospective boyfriend is and has assurance that he’s safe, he can begin to solve the puzzle about possibly separating them into their own bodies. But from what I’ve seen so far, it just appears that as soon as his ex has shown up, Kyle’s taken the back seat in Spooky’s priorities.

I still think that Spooky will be right back to that!

Unless Spooky understands the situation well enough to already know Kyle’s situation. Just because WE don’t how this works doesn’t mean Spooky doesn’t.

That’s what I was thinking too. It really bothers me how unconcerned Spooky seems.

He seems less unconcerned and more in shock. He’s not really reacting to anything here. Give him a few moments to process what’s going on.

I don’t think he is unconcerned. More like stunned.

Spooky has been through/seen a lot of shit in his life, been in a lot of crises and bad situations, so I think he may respond to crisis in a way that may not be how most might respond.
He’s also had more than one big surprise/shock right now. This is not a normal situation yo process.

Kyle s will was enough to defeat Laampros.

Anaado had better be ready to share or be crushed.

“Look, Anaado. Stop. The demon prince… Kyle… is not a monster. Kyle is my friend, my lover, and teammate. He’s good. You have to let him go.”

“You mean … but … if I gave up this flesh … where will _I_ be? Do you want me to perish?”

“NO!! No, Anaado. I want you to stay. But I want Kyle back too. Let me think. Sex magic got us into this mess. Sex magic can get us out of it.”

“Okay…?”

“But we’ll need a third person for it to work–” (door bell rings)

[Off-panel voice:] “Kyle? Are you home?”

“Yes. Sort of.”

Ha!

“Are you telling me… that you would choose this INTRUDER over me?”

I wait for Kyle to get tired of this nonsense.

This is a minor point, but Kyle was naked when he was with Spooky, before the transformation…..and Anaado was naked in Hell when he came thru the portal opened by Spooky. So….why is the body he now inhabits wearing a loin cloth that neither Kyle nor Anaado were wearing before the transformation????? Anaado took over Kyle’s body….which was naked. Ok, literary license, I guess.

Let’s go with Anaado making sure that everyone can get the whole page rather than a censored one 😉

Anaado does have magical powers, I assume. hence the loincloth.

This is “you can’t win for losing” with nudity.
We got complaints about censored pages and we got complaints about the not-having-to-be-censored pages.

Don’t worry! I happen to like a hot guy in a loincloth! 😀

Dave, clearly showing a naked butt is not censored….we saw both Spooky and Kyle’s naked bottom and we saw Anaado’s naked bottom when he was in Hell, so, as a matter of consistency, Anaado should be naked when he transformed into Kyle’s body…and it would not have been censored to show him from behind, without frontal nudity. A simple blocking of his genitals with frontal views, as was done with Kyle and Spooky, would have worked fine.

Dave…no worries. It is nice to meet you. I misunderstood your first reply as a criticism of my criticism, ha ha! I was annoyed more by the inconsistency of Anaado not being naked, when he was in Hell and when Kyle was in the body Anaado entered. Sorry if I seemed annoyed with you. Your comment about censored and uncensored pages brings up another point….I follow some comics that show full nudity and sex scenes and you simply have to agree you are 18 before you view the comic (sometimes not even that…you just get a warning about nudity and accept it as ok). Other comics save the nude/sex scenes for those who pay to see them (Patreon, etc.)…… everyone else just gets rated-PG comic. Did the author of this comic choose the PG route in order to market to a younger audience or to get us to pay to see the juicy stuff? His choice…of course…just curious.

Alex keeps the pages so teens can read them without having a click-through.
The reason being that most of us had NO comics (or graphic novels) like this when we grew up.
I’d hate to describe the only novel I ever got my hands on as a teenager. It wasn’t at all helpful and it was mean spirited self-hate and guilt-ridden trash.
So we get bare butts but not the family jewels and good storylines about gays and straights.

You’re instincts are right — you can’t really compare what other comics do, it’s ultimately the author’s choice. My research has led me to believe that a simple click-through would be inadequate to protect me from California law in terms of showing explicit content to minors. Other creators might have received different legal advice, or are living in more permissive countries, or perhaps are willing to take on more risk so they can show explicit content to more people.

But to your larger question, I started with the PG route because that’s where my natural story-telling instincts lie. I felt there was a lot of explicit content out there already in gay comics, and I wanted to offer something different (but still with important romantic and sexy elements.) I also wanted, as Dave pointed out, to be able to share my stories with as broad an audience as possible. Even though I write my comics for adult readers (and that’s who I market to), I didn’t want to limit my readership to just 18+, in case there were some mature teens out there who would benefit from reading stories with gay heroes and might enjoy the work.

I actually never expected that I would offer comics with explicit pages. It was just something I wanted to try with this one story both as an opportunity to try something different and also in the hopes of increasing my Patreon support. (I talk more about that in my notes on the first page of this comic .) It was an experiment, one that pushed me in new ways and did indeed increase Patreon support, and I’m glad I did it.

Ultimately, though, my original mission has not changed. I want to tell stories with LGBT heroes that are available for everyone to enjoy. There will of course always be special benefits for those who are interested and able to support my work—this is my only source of income and without the support, this comic wouldn’t continue. (And I’m currently working with some developers to come up with some new, special rewards for Patrons.) But as much as possible, I want as many people as possible to enjoy these stories. And for a variety of reasons, that means keeping the majority of the content PG-13ish.

Okay, I admit it – I became a Patron so I could get a full nude of Duncan. Too bad I just missed the offer, but was assured there’d be a Friday return someday. Still waiting! Lol! Oh, and I got access to this wonderful and exciting web-comic and got to meet a bunch of cool, friendly fellow Patrons, and an awesome author, so… win-win-win on my part! Thanks again for your talent, Alex. It’s excruciating, dammit! 🙂

I still wonder about the loincloth, since naked butts are not censored and we saw that Kyle was naked and Anaado was naked (in Hell, prior to transformation)….so if Anaado transformed into Kyle’s naked body, there would be no loincloth. Some argued it was to avoid censored pages, but as I pointed out…naked butts are not censored and it would have been a simple matter of drawing Anaado from angles that did not require frontal nudity. Again, not a big deal….just curious.

Oh, this is going to go over so well with the rest of the team…

I do hope that there’s a way to free Kyle while also keeping Anaado free. He doesn’t seem like a bad guy and he doesn’t know what’s really going on or that Kyle isn’t evil. Poor everybody.

it’s awful 2 think that Kyle’s soul/essence/consciousness might b in that cage/prison in the hell dimension— if it has 2 b_ i hope as a prince of that hell dimension that lampros gives him vip treatment_ as in good not bad_

As I recall Kyle didn’t get along with his Father all that well……and he was even worse when he was “upset”…….and my guess is he would be very upset about this situation.

Poor Kyle. Now he’ll never believe a healthy sex life is possible for him. And yes, I do feel for Spooky’s dilemma: which lover to save? No matter what he does henceforth, someone he loves will suffer.

*Note in panel one , the real Kyle is still there……but Spooky’s eyes are closed , so he didn’t “see” the change-over.

Kyle’s body still looks mostly like his, but his eyes are red.

What more information do we want to hear, need to hear, have that burning desire to hear… tonight!

Patreon is doing its thing. Pages, pencils, thumbnails, and scripts are appearing like magic.

I changed my wording from “Patreon Rumbles” because the current eruption of Kilauea in the East Rift Zone of Hawaii has destroyed over 600 houses with its rumbling.

There was a volcano in Ecuador, I think, that erupted about a week ago?

The other volcano is in Guatemala {fixed} and it killed people. I’m not sure how many.
I have a friend who lives in Hawaii about 3 miles from the very active Fissure #8. He said that he used to go swimming on the beach at Kapoho Bay. That’s now under lava.

Guatemala! Not Ecuador. My bad.
