So! Holy crap! Did he just do what I think he did?! What is that thing coming out of that guy’s neck! It’s heading straight for Flyboy. What will it do when it hits him? And then what will Cory do?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

  1. {Screams, shrieks, tears, cheers, jumping up and down, yelling!}
THIS is going to be FUN

  2. Avatar for Klaus Klaus says:

Now that is crazy. (This is added because post must be at least 20 characters.)

  3. Fun? Uh. We have vastly different interpretations of fun I think.

  4. Agreed! I think Cory’s exclamation, “oh, crap, oh” I think it was? The most understated pronouncement of panic in the universe. Ever.

  5. If you weren’t in the deep end before, Cory.

Just one of the things that makes these guys so dangerous.

  6. I can easily imagine Cory will make a serious mistake here. Mitch can fly at nearly mach two, which may well be fast enough to evade that eldritch bolt. But Cory may not remember that. Cory might think that he has to move Mitch out of the way telekinetically, and that could ironically prevent Mitch from getting away in time. In other words, the bolt may strike Mitch because Cory acted to save him. Ugh ugh ugh.

Hard to say what the bolt will do to Mitch, but at minimum he’s gonna get knocked out. Cory can at least, in theory, lower Mitch to the ground so he doesn’t suffer falling damage on top of everything else.

And unhappily, the bolt (or another crazie’s magic) will seek out Cory himself next. Maybe he can block some of it with more headstones, but this is not looking good at all. And, we can’t forget there’s still one child tied to a tree, yes? When can we expect the cavalry to arrive? Any chance the last kid has a latent summon-a-swarm-of-bees power to help out here?

  7. my reaction, pretty much

  8. I wasn’t expecting the other lackeys to be as surprised as I was at this turn of events. maybe we’ll only have to deal with one of them for now… small mercies…

  9. this dude is absolutely wacko

  10. I always enjoy reading your speculation, David.

Unless something’s changed, the other Young Protectors are still hours away,

    Yes,

    They definitely weren’t expecting this.

Indeed, he is. (And welcome, Zefurr!)

  11. Avatar for Klaus Klaus says:

Is it a teeny tiny chance?

  12. I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
