ANNIVERSARY PATRON THANK YOUS

It’s my great pleasure to send out another, very special Woolfpack anniversary “thank you!” to the superheroes of this comic who have been supporting our work month after month!

First let me thank a pack member who has been supporting our work for the last 12 months as of this week (Sep 22-28):

Patrick G.

(You totally rock, Patrick!)

I’d like to send out a big thank you to members of the Woolfpack who have been supporting our work for 24 months of this week (Sep 22-28):

Cherry, Amanda J. and Kevin K.

(Two years of support! Thank you so much, Cherry, Amanda and Kevin!)

And a heroic thank you as well as for a Woolfpack member who hasbeen supporting our work for 36 months of this week (Sep 22-28):

Michaela H.

(Three years of support! Thank you so much, Michaela!)

And let me also send out my biggest howl to a member of the Woolfpack who has been supporting this comic and our work from the very beginning!

This is the awesome reader who has been supporting me and this comic for 48 months (4 years!) as of this week (Sep 22-28):

Devon

Thank you so much, Devon! You are so awesome!

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! The Gate disappeared before Flyboy could go through, so he slammed into the ground instead. (Ouch!) Does that mean Cory is lost forever?! (Or at least, dinosaur chow?) And what’s caught Flyboy’s attention in the last panel?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

  1. I had this awful feeling that Mitch would take a big “SPLAT!” against the ground. I didn’t want to say it for fear of it becoming true (and all that paranormal deja vu stuff, knock on wood)

  2. nuuuuuhuhuhuhuh… ;_____;
Apparently pretending all will be good doesn’t help the least bit x’D
I’m glad that Mitch at least didn’t break anything, or at least I guess he’d have reacted in a different way if he did >/////<
BUt how the fresh hell are they supposed to get Cory back from Gondwana or Laurasia >____>’

  3. Avatar for Klaus Klaus says:

    To do:
    Retrieve Anaado from Hell
Retrieve Cory from a parallel World (or maybe the far past)

How much longer will the list get?

  4. Avatar for Klaus Klaus says:

I presume Mitch was flying at high speed here. Yet he was not hurt by the collision. That is interesting.

  5. Avatar for Nate Nate says:

Ah know a certain Suthern boy who has he same powah when he’s blastin’.

  6. Avatar for Nate Nate says:

    No! Cory! Come back! :sob:

  7. Must be his “belief” about how his abilities work. Mach two into the ground? Beyond ouch!

  8. Knocking on wood couldn’t hurt. Mitch could use all the help he can get right now.

His power-set somehow seems to protect him from collisions when he is flying…

Will they even be able to get to Cory at all? And with that monster directly behind him, what will they find?

Give me time. This is just Chapter One.

    Yes.

Who do you have in mind, Nate?

    Could be.

I can answer this one. Cannonball aka Sam Guthrie, originally introduced in The New Mutants comic books. I haven’t bought new comics in ages, though, so I don’t know what his current status is. But from what I remember, he has flight powers where his lower half looks like the fuel exhaust tail of a rocket when he’s blasting. And, at first, he had very poor maneuverability, so it was extremely helpful that he also has an aura of invulnerability while blasting, so he never gets hurt on impact. His aura extends to whoever and whatever he’s carrying too.

  10. Don’t forget Spooky’s baseball cap!

  11. assorted curse words noooooooooooooo
    …w what.
well. everything sure is dynamic on this page. i like the spidey sense-ish last panel even though it means something turrible no good vurry bad is about to happen or is happening…

  12. Avatar for dswxyz dswxyz says:

I’m now trying to guess what new horror Flyboy sees in the last panel here. Either the “master” that the crazies were originally trying to summon has arrived, or maybe the zombies have learned a new trick of joining themselves together into a mega-zombie of dire proportions.

Or heck: maybe it’s both. Maybe the “master” manifests themself as a mega-zombie, using the artifact as a she-is-lit ribcage. It could happen.

Got in one. Sam’s still around, actually. He joined the Avengers, married a (human) member of the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, and has a kid. None of which is relevant here, of course.

    How could I forget!?

  15. Ah! Thank you!

Yes, that should definitely be on the to-do list!

I really like what Adam and Vero did there too.

    Yes. It could.

  16. Avatar for Klaus Klaus says:

Am I the only one who read the notice below as “two undead remaining?”

  17. Ah! You mean this?

    2019-10-04_19-30-33

I actually read it like that myself on another Discourse forum, and there wasn’t even any comic pages with zombies!

Ha, no. There are dozens of undead remaining.
